The Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for defining and advancing cybersecurity strategy within a large-scale technology environment. This role combines deep technical knowledge with strategic thinking to design and implement secure, scalable solutions across diverse platforms and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assesses existing cybersecurity frameworks, controls, and methodologies, identifying opportunities for improvement and alignment with evolving threats
- Leads technical evaluations of new tools, platforms, and architectures, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards
- Provides expert guidance to engineering teams, vendors, and business units on secure design and implementation practices
- Collaborates with senior stakeholders to advise on risk mitigation during critical security events or system vulnerabilities
- Serves as a recognized authority in specialized domains such as cloud security, AI/ML systems, or mobile infrastructure
- Promotes consistent use of secure development practices across the software lifecycle
- Champions adoption of innovative technologies and influences decision-making across technical projects
Qualifications
Candidates must have formal training or certification in security engineering, along with at least five years of hands-on experience implementing enterprise cybersecurity controls. Proficiency in one or more programming languages is required, as is demonstrated ability to lead complex security architecture initiatives independently.
Deep expertise in cybersecurity design, technical processes, and system integration is essential, with advanced focus in areas such as public cloud platforms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technologies. Experience designing and operating cloud-native systems is expected. The ideal candidate can assess both current and emerging technologies to guide future architectural direction.
Preferred candidates will have extensive experience with Teradata deployments, both on-premises and within AWS as a SaaS solution.
