As the Senior Graphic Designer, you will guide a team of five creative professionals, providing leadership, mentorship, and direction to ensure exceptional design output for large-scale events. You'll play a central role in developing and executing visual campaigns from concept to completion, working closely with marketing leadership and creative stakeholders to deliver impactful branding experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support a diverse team of designers, fostering professional growth and creative excellence
- Collaborate with project managers to manage workflows, timelines, and resource allocation
- Act as the primary creative liaison between design, marketing, and brand leadership
- Develop original campaign concepts and ensure alignment with strategic goals and creative briefs
- Oversee end-to-end creative development, including quality assurance across digital and print deliverables
- Manage file preparation for CMYK print production and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Create motion graphics using Adobe After Effects and Premiere for digital content initiatives
- Stay current with design trends, emerging tools, and industry innovations to elevate visual standards
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance team efficiency and collaboration
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a degree in Graphic Design, Communication Arts, or a related field, with 7–8 years of professional design experience, including direct team leadership. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite—particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere—is essential. You must have a strong grasp of print production, color management, and motion design, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, requiring three or more days per week in person, with flexibility to work remotely when appropriate. You may also support events on-site as needed.
