About the Role
The role involves developing and enhancing scalable web applications across the full technology stack, with a strong focus on backend services, database design, and system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services using Node.js and Python
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external use
- Develop user-facing features with an emphasis on performance and responsiveness
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Participate in system architecture planning and technical decision-making
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Ensure data integrity and efficient querying across database systems
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL
- Implement secure coding practices and authentication mechanisms
- Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
- Contribute to technical documentation and system design specs
- Engage in code reviews to maintain code quality
- Monitor application performance and implement improvements
- Collaborate with product teams to define feature requirements
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy standards
- Participate in agile development cycles and sprint planning
- Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems
- Background in test-driven development
