Sierra Studio is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the entire UI layer, shaping both the foundation and the future of a new, combined marketplace built from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Own the front-end architecture. Design, implement, and evolve a modern React codebase (TypeScript, Vite, Vitest) running in Google Cloud Platform.
- Ship beautiful, accessible experiences. Work hand-in-hand with product & design to turn Figma files into pixel-perfect UIs.
- Sweat the details. From animation curves to micro-copy, polish the 1% that delights users.
- Champion performance. Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals.
- Evolve our design system. Create reusable, documented components for the whole team.
- Collaborate on API design. Work closely with backend engineers to design REST APIs that power user experiences.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years building production web apps with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- A portfolio or live product that demonstrates impeccable attention to spacing, typography, and interaction states.
- Deep knowledge of semantic HTML5, CSS architecture, and responsive design.
- Experience optimizing bundle size and runtime performance.
- Comfortable working in cloud-native environments (deploy to Google Cloud Storage + Cloud CDN).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, product-driven mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ecommerce or marketplace products.
- Familiarity with Redux Toolkit, React Query, Emotion, or Storybook.
- Past contributions to design systems or open-source libraries.
