About the Role

Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded firmware for microcontrollers in wearable devices
- Optimize code for minimal power consumption and maximum responsiveness
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure firmware aligns with circuit design
- Debug and resolve low-level software issues across development stages
- Develop and maintain device drivers for sensors and communication peripherals
- Integrate firmware with mobile and cloud platforms for data synchronization
- Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards in data handling
- Conduct unit testing and system-level validation of firmware components
- Support production and field firmware updates and troubleshooting
- Contribute to technical documentation and design specifications
- Work within agile development cycles to meet product milestones
- Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries and firmware modules
- Monitor and improve firmware reliability under real-world conditions
- Participate in code reviews to maintain software quality and consistency
- Assist in defining firmware architecture for future product generations
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience with RTOS and bare-metal firmware development
- Knowledge of secure boot and cryptographic implementations
- Track record of shipping consumer electronics products
- Experience with sensor fusion algorithms and data filtering
- Familiarity with FDA or CE certification processes for wearables
- Contributions to open-source embedded projects
- Understanding of manufacturing test and firmware validation processes
