Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction in all aspects of the job
- Increase throughput and decrease downtime
- Perform regular Preventive Maintenance
- Perform regular upgrades as deemed by Leica Microsystems technical staff
- Act as a clear advocate for the customer (internal and external)
- Serve as a steward for the company
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, biological science or military equivalent
- 1 year of computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, Windows base networking)
- Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Minimum 5 years of troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use documentation for the purposes of troubleshooting
- Local travel is required for this role daily
- Ability to travel overnight 40–50% of the time
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
Nice to Have
- 2+ years of prior field service experience in related field or military equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in science discipline or type of engineering degree
- Inventory Management, including but not limited to cycle counts, updating car stock, and returning aging inventory

- Territory includes New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania & Connecticut
- Higher concentration of travel in New York city
