Lead engineering initiatives focused on ERP data integration, backend systems, and cross-functional collaboration in a globally distributed organization. You'll own the design, scalability, and reliability of critical data pipelines that power real-time decision-making across regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain connectors for seamless ERP data ingestion and storage
- Ensure continuous availability and operational readiness of data systems around the clock
- Drive improvements in data efficiency, security, and accessibility across the stack
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures
- Collaborate with engineering teams in the US, Singapore, and China to align on system design and implementation
- Evolve backend APIs to meet changing customer demands through iterative development
- Own service governance, deployment, and long-term maintainability of core services
- Develop foundational components that strengthen the reliability of mission-critical systems
- Adapt work hours as needed to support coordination across time zones
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on distributed systems
- Strong programming skills in Python, Golang, or Java—with Python preferred
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
- Proven experience with message brokers like Kafka, RMQ, or SQS
- Hands-on work with relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, and others
- Track record building highly available, low-latency systems operating 24/7
- Experience with microservices, API gateways, and observability tooling (logging, tracing, metrics)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration via Kubernetes and Docker
- Ability to lead technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and communicate complex concepts clearly
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on ownership and execution
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices
- Performance optimization for high-throughput systems
- Experience with RPC frameworks such as gRPC/Protobuf or Thrift
