Responsibilities

- Evaluate technical trade-offs in system design and implementation
- Promote best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment workflows
- Ensure teams follow security and compliance standards
- Facilitate incident response and post-mortem processes
- Encourage knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration
- Manage performance reviews and career development conversations
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical health
- Represent engineering in cross-functional planning discussions
- Advocate for developer experience and tooling improvements
- Guide teams in adopting modern infrastructure and observability practices
- Maintain alignment between business goals and engineering outcomes
- Support documentation and transparency across technical projects
- Encourage innovation while managing technical risk
- Ensure inclusive decision-making within and across teams
