Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior Engineer, Testing Infrastructure to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. You will ensure software quality and reliability across complex systems, influencing the quality of software used by data scientists globally by building reliable, high-performance tools.
What You'll Do
- Design, maintain, and expand automated test infrastructure to increase coverage, speed, and resilience, including end-to-end, integration, API, and performance tests.
- Build and manage reproducible test environments using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Develop and optimize performance testing strategies and frameworks using internal and external tools.
- Maintain and enhance existing testing frameworks while establishing strategies for future CI/CD improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage, assess risk, and drive continuous product improvement.
- Mentor colleagues and promote a culture of quality and automation best practices across the engineering organization.
- Partner with developers and support teams to investigate customer-reported issues and ensure smooth user experiences.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building and maintaining test automation infrastructure at scale.
- Strong skills in automated testing using tools such as Cypress or Python-based frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (AWS), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of end-to-end, integration, API, and performance testing strategies.
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and efficient testing solutions.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills within highly distributed teams.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies in testing and automation.
- Experience driving quality initiatives in a fast-paced, complex software environment.
