AECOM is hiring a Senior Engineer - Structural (Site)

Responsibilities

  • Executes advanced technical and managerial tasks related to contract compliance, quality control, and quality assurance for structural work.
  • Reviews and interprets relevant codes, standards, and contractual project documentation.
  • Observes construction operations to verify alignment with contract requirements.
  • Clarifies or explains contract documents to contractors as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation such as daily and weekly progress reports, material records, change orders, and as-built drawings.
  • Supports the Project Engineer or Site Engineer in technical and administrative duties.
  • Leads, manages, and coordinates the activities of the inspection team.
  • Holds regular weekly meetings with inspectors and the Project Engineer.
  • Ensures all responses and deliverables meet contractual obligations and are fully documented.
  • Collaborates with the Project Engineer to address and resolve construction issues.
  • Reviews inspection records for consistency with contract documents and approved contractor plans.
  • Assists the Senior Discipline Engineer in identifying and evaluating technical challenges to maintain project timelines.
  • Identifies violations in construction or engineering practices and issues Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Attends progress and coordination meetings to help resolve field issues, including drawing inconsistencies.
  • Takes part in snagging coordination and project handover processes.
  • Supports the Resident Engineer or Team Lead by offering expert guidance to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coordinates with Design Engineers when design modifications are necessary.
  • Delivers daily site updates and flags emerging issues to the Project Lead.
  • Assists in compiling various reports as instructed by the project leadership.
  • Oversees health and safety practices on site and submits related reports.
  • Has authority to halt construction activities if unsafe methods are observed.
