Lead and deliver geotechnical engineering solutions for diverse infrastructure projects by combining field experience with technical expertise. You will play a central role in ensuring that geotechnical work aligns with design standards, contract specifications, and real-world site conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply principles of soil and rock mechanics to develop practical responses to technical challenges within defined project scopes.
- Monitor and evaluate geotechnical field operations to confirm adherence to project criteria and provide informed interpretation of subsurface data.
- Coordinate with external contractors to maintain progress, uphold quality, and meet client expectations on time and within requirements.
- Review and validate technical outputs—including reports, drawings, and design studies—for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with site findings.
- Contribute to contract documentation and correspondence as needed, supporting the broader geotechnical team.
- Support professional development of junior engineers through on-the-job guidance and technical feedback, helping prepare them for chartered status.
- Travel internationally when required to support project execution and fieldwork completion.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design, including foundation systems (shallow and deep), earthworks, slope stability, retaining structures, and settlement analysis.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software such as GEO5, WALLAP, ALP, SlopeW, Slide, and Plaxis for modeling and analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant design codes and best practices, with a strong working knowledge of Eurocodes considered an advantage.
- Experience preparing, checking, and reviewing technical documents such as interpretative reports, desk studies, specifications, and design drawings.
- Proven ability to lead technically, contribute to client discussions, and make sound engineering judgments.
- Solid understanding of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.
- Willingness to travel internationally based on project demands.
