Responsibilities
- Design, implement and optimize engine systems to meet the demands of game performance and visual fidelity.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate engine features that enhance gameplay and user experience.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best coding practices throughout the engineering team.
- Conduct code reviews, ensuring high-quality standards and maintainability of the codebase.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies that can be leveraged to improve game development processes.
Requirements
- Experience as an Engine or Rendering Engineer in the gaming industry with shipped AAA titles.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with engine architecture
- Thorough understanding of performance profiling tools and optimisation techniques
- Experience with large-scale game projects, including planning, execution, and delivering completed features on schedule.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- A passion for video games and a strong desire to work on high-quality, innovative projects.
- Familiarity with current-generation console architectures.
- Experience with Unreal Engine (4 or 5).
