Lead the development of intelligent, secure embedded systems for a growing ecosystem of connected devices. In this role, you'll architect and implement a zero-touch provisioning framework that enables seamless device onboarding and over-the-air updates, ensuring reliability from the silicon layer up through cloud integration.
What You'll Do
- Design and integrate firmware for microcontrollers and microprocessors, emphasizing modularity, testability, and long-term maintainability.
- Optimize and deploy wireless communication protocols including BLE, Thread, LoRa, and Wi-Fi to support scalable, robust device networks.
- Build and utilize test infrastructure using Hardware-In-The-Loop and Test-Driven Development methodologies to validate performance at scale.
- Collaborate with hardware, machine learning, cloud, and mobile teams to define system requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Establish firmware quality benchmarks, security standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements across the product lifecycle.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system-level issues, applying deep technical insight to improve field reliability and performance.
- Mentor engineers and advocate for modern development practices, helping to shape technical direction and team growth.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development, spanning bare-metal MCU programming, RTOS environments, and MPU-based systems running Embedded Linux or Android.
- Proven expertise in wireless protocols such as BLE, Wi-Fi, Thread, and LoRa, with a strong grasp of low-power design and network reliability.
- Experience with debugging and analysis tools including GDB, JTAG, SWD, Memfault, Coverity, and Valgrind.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote-first, fast-moving environment.
Preferred Background
- Experience working in startup environments, where agility and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
