Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, embedded systems, or a closely related discipline
- Minimum of five years of professional experience focused on hardware validation and system integration testing
- Advanced proficiency in at least one compiled programming language such as C, C++, or Rust; Rust is preferred, though strong C/C++ skills with interest in Rust are acceptable
- Solid programming abilities in Python and additional scripting languages
- Direct experience using optical and electronic test instruments including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, optical spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers
- In-depth knowledge of communication protocols such as USB, I2C, SPI, and serial communication interfaces
- Proven ability to collect, interpret, and visualize test data to inform design improvements and engineering decisions
- Experience working in Linux environments using command-line tools for scripting and test automation
- Collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams during product development cycles
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices including version control and collaborative coding workflows
- Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated experience in debugging embedded systems and identifying root causes of issues
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related technical field
- Five or more years of hands-on experience in hardware test and validation environments
- Background in firmware integration, embedded system testing, and low-level debugging
- Experience conducting environmental reliability tests and compliance validation procedures
- Understanding of regulatory standards applicable to product testing and validation
- Prior work with atomic, optical, or quantum technologies
- Willingness and ability to travel when necessary to support remote testing, integration, and commissioning activities
