About the Role
The individual will serve as a key technical leader on engineering projects, providing design oversight, client coordination, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety codes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and review of electrical designs for commercial and industrial facilities
- Conduct site assessments and field investigations to gather project requirements
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations, specifications, and construction documentation
- Ensure all designs comply with NEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on integrated project delivery
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and coordination studies using engineering software
- Review contractor submittals and provide technical guidance during construction
- Support project management with scheduling, budgeting, and client communication
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training
- Conduct quality assurance checks on deliverables
- Coordinate with architects and other consultants to align design intent
- Prepare and present technical reports to clients and regulatory agencies
- Oversee permitting processes for electrical systems
- Troubleshoot field issues and recommend corrective solutions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
