About the Role
The engineer will lead efforts to embed security into CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure securely, and ensure adherence to compliance standards while supporting rapid, reliable software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security testing
- Monitor cloud environments for security risks and compliance deviations
- Automate security controls across infrastructure and application layers
- Collaborate with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities early
- Maintain and improve configuration management and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Respond to security incidents with post-mortem analysis and preventive measures
- Enforce identity and access management policies across systems
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing coordination
- Support audit processes and documentation for compliance frameworks
- Optimize logging, monitoring, and alerting for security events
- Lead secure onboarding of third-party tools and services
- Promote security best practices through training and documentation
- Evaluate and integrate security tools into existing workflows
- Ensure encryption standards are applied consistently
- Manage secrets securely across environments
- Improve container and orchestration platform security
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Work cross-functionally to align security with business objectives
- Streamline compliance reporting through automation
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-based organizations
