About the Role
The Senior DevOps Platform Engineer will lead efforts to build and maintain a scalable, secure, and highly available platform that empowers development teams to deliver software efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable infrastructure on cloud platforms
- Automate deployment pipelines to improve release velocity
- Ensure system reliability, monitoring, and incident response readiness
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline tooling and workflows
- Implement security best practices across infrastructure and services
- Optimize cloud resource usage for cost efficiency and performance
- Maintain and evolve containerized environments and orchestration systems
- Drive adoption of infrastructure-as-code principles
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems
- Support disaster recovery and high availability strategies
- Contribute to platform documentation and knowledge sharing
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve platform capabilities
- Enforce compliance with internal and external standards
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support
- Mentor engineers on DevOps practices and platform usage
- Improve observability through logging, metrics, and alerting systems
- Manage secrets and configuration securely across environments
- Support migration efforts from legacy systems to modern platforms
- Work closely with security teams to address vulnerabilities
- Ensure consistent environments across development, staging, and production
- Develop self-service tools for internal engineering teams
- Monitor platform health and proactively address risks
- Lead initiatives to improve system uptime and reduce latency
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during major releases
- Promote a culture of automation, measurement, and sharing
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in computer science or engineering
- Experience supporting SaaS platforms at enterprise scale
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects
- Certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps specialties
- Hands-on work with service mesh technologies
- Background in large-scale data processing systems
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks
- Experience with multi-region cloud deployments
