About the Role
The role involves managing cloud environments, improving CI/CD workflows, and ensuring high availability and security of systems used in the mortgage technology space.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS or similar platforms
- Implement and manage containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across distributed environments
- Enforce infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes
- Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance under heavy workloads
- Manage configuration using automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Support secure deployment practices and compliance with industry standards
- Respond to incidents and participate in on-call rotations when needed
- Optimize cloud resource usage to balance cost and performance
- Integrate security best practices into DevOps workflows
- Maintain version control systems and branching strategies
- Deploy and manage monitoring and logging solutions like Prometheus or ELK stack
- Work with microservices architectures and service mesh technologies
- Assist in database deployment and operational support tasks
- Participate in system design discussions and architecture reviews
- Document infrastructure setups and operational procedures
- Ensure backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans are in place
- Evaluate and integrate new DevOps tools and technologies
- Support audit and compliance requirements for financial systems
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and automation
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues in cloud environments
- Collaborate with security teams to implement identity and access controls
- Contribute to post-mortem analyses after system incidents
