About the Role
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on GCP and AWS to support marketing applications. The engineer will focus on automation, monitoring, security, and system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Ensure high availability and scalability of marketing technology platforms
- Automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Enforce security best practices across cloud environments
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment
- Maintain documentation for systems and processes
- Support incident response and on-call rotations
- Improve system reliability through proactive maintenance
- Integrate monitoring and alerting tools for cloud resources
- Manage identity and access controls in multi-cloud setups
- Optimize cloud costs through resource tracking and rightsizing
- Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes
- Ensure compliance with data protection standards
- Work with networking configurations including VPCs and firewalls
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Support migration of services between cloud providers when needed
- Use scripting languages to automate routine operations
- Participate in code and infrastructure reviews
- Stay current with cloud technology advancements
- Assist in onboarding new services to cloud platforms
- Coordinate with security teams to address vulnerabilities
- Improve deployment speed without sacrificing stability
- Contribute to post-mortem analyses after incidents
Nice to Have
- Certification in Google Cloud or AWS
- Experience with multi-cloud architecture design
