Responsibilities

Architect and manage AWS environments using Terraform, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and proper network isolation for PCI-compliant systems
Lead the development and refinement of the observability ecosystem, including distributed tracing with SigNoz, metrics collection, and Grafana dashboards, enabling teams to independently monitor production behavior
Develop and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines in Bitbucket Pipelines, incorporating safeguards, automated rollbacks, and environment promotion logic
Create and execute performance and load testing strategies using k6 or equivalent tools, set performance baselines, and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues pre-production
Take part in on-call schedules, respond to infrastructure incidents, and lead post-incident reviews to implement long-term solutions
Establish and monitor service level objectives, error budgets, and key operational metrics for systems handling payment transactions
Enhance deployment speed and reliability through faster pipelines, improved preview environments, and safer data migration tooling
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to uphold PCI DSS standards, assist with audits conducted by Armanino and Vanta, and automate compliance controls
Oversee AWS spending and capacity planning, including instance right-sizing, reserved instance planning, and identification of cost-saving opportunities
Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate infrastructure tasks while maintaining rigorous code review standards and security integrity

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering roles
Strong proficiency with Terraform, AWS, and infrastructure-as-code practices
Hands-on experience with observability tools such as SigNoz, OpenTelemetry, or similar
Familiarity with PCI DSS requirements and secure system design principles
Experience with CI/CD platforms, particularly Bitbucket Pipelines or similar
Knowledge of performance testing frameworks like k6
Proven ability to balance speed, reliability, and security in production environments
Comfortable working in on-call rotations and leading incident resolution
