About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of OpenMetadata-based solutions
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to improve data discovery
- Ensure metadata consistency across data pipelines and storage layers
- Integrate OpenMetadata with existing data tools and platforms
- Develop automation for metadata extraction and synchronization
- Support data governance initiatives through metadata enrichment
- Optimize platform performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve metadata-related issues
- Define best practices for metadata management
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs
- Document system designs and operational procedures
- Contribute to open-source OpenMetadata community efforts
- Monitor platform health and implement alerts
- Evaluate new features and integrations for metadata platform
- Drive adoption of metadata standards across teams
- Mentor junior engineers on data platform practices
- Participate in code reviews and system design discussions
- Ensure security and access controls are enforced in metadata systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data platform trends
- Support data lineage and impact analysis capabilities
