About the Role
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data platform solutions centered around OpenMetadata, while also providing technical leadership for data-driven go-to-market operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and deployment of OpenMetadata across enterprise systems
- Collaborate with data teams to integrate metadata management into analytics workflows
- Design scalable data discovery and governance frameworks
- Support go-to-market functions with reliable, well-documented data assets
- Drive adoption of metadata standards across engineering and analytics teams
- Optimize data lineage tracking and data catalog usability
- Integrate OpenMetadata with data pipelines and cloud platforms
- Troubleshoot metadata synchronization and system interoperability issues
- Mentor engineers in best practices for data platform development
- Define metrics for data platform health and metadata coverage
- Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy requirements
- Work with product teams to align metadata strategy with business goals
- Document system architecture and operational procedures
- Evaluate new tools and extensions for metadata ecosystem enhancement
- Participate in code reviews and system design discussions
- Improve data discoverability and trust through metadata enrichment
- Coordinate with security teams on access controls for data assets
- Support incident response related to data platform outages
- Contribute to roadmap planning for data infrastructure evolution
- Foster collaboration between data engineering, science, and business teams
