Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and manage data systems and workflows that are scalable, dependable, and consistently available to support analytics and data-centric applications
- Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, product managers, and software developers to convert business needs into durable and reusable data architectures
- Lead the design and implementation of data models and data architecture to ensure data integrity, precision, and long-term scalability
- Build and refine batch and real-time streaming data pipelines to enhance processing speed and system reliability
- Implement data quality controls, governance policies, and security measures using monitoring, validation, and anomaly detection techniques
- Enhance existing data infrastructure through performance improvements, cost efficiency, and reduction of technical debt
- Evaluate and recommend data technologies, platforms, and tools such as databases, cloud services, and processing frameworks while advocating for engineering best practices
- Produce and update technical documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability of systems
- Guide and train junior engineers to strengthen team capabilities and promote technical excellence
- Monitor advancements in data engineering and big data technologies, assessing their applicability and potential business impact
