- Develop scalable and reusable data models and curated datasets to support analytics, data science, CRM, machine learning, and other internal data consumers.
- Build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines that process large-scale data across Snowflake, BigQuery, and similar platforms.
- Design and operate both streaming and batch processing systems for real-time and analytical use cases, while simplifying outdated data ingestion methods.
- Lead efforts to standardize data warehouse practices and reduce technical debt during consolidation into a unified warehouse.
- Champion enterprise-wide data integrity, validation, documentation, and governance, along with tools that make compliance the default.
- Leverage AI to improve internal workflows, such as creating reusable automation for pipeline upgrades, and share these solutions across teams.
- Define and evolve best practices in data modeling, pipeline architecture, testing, and observability.
- Write and review production-grade Java and Python code across various components of the data platform, from ingestion to internal tools.
- Design and scale distributed processing systems using Flink, Spark, and Kafka for real-time and batch workloads.
- Take full ownership of software engineering lifecycle stages: design, implementation, quality assurance, and ongoing maintenance, with frequent production deployments via CI/CD.
- Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, balancing performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead large-scale technical initiatives from concept to delivery, including specifications, design reviews, planning, and cross-team coordination.
- Ensure high code and data quality through active participation in reviews and by mentoring engineers across teams.
- Transform ambiguous, cross-functional data challenges into clear, standardized solutions and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
