About the Role
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls to defend against cyber threats while ensuring compliance with federal and organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and strengthen security postures across enterprise networks
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security events and respond to incidents
- Implement identity and access management solutions
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements
- Design secure network architectures
- Lead security audits and risk analyses
- Deploy and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption tools
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into infrastructure
- Provide technical guidance during security incidents
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats
- Assist in the development of security awareness programs
- Ensure secure configuration of systems and devices
- Support incident response planning and execution
- Analyze logs and security alerts for suspicious activity
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Evaluate third-party security risks
- Document security processes and control implementations
- Work with cloud service providers to ensure secure configurations
- Advise on secure software development practices
- Troubleshoot security-related issues
- Maintain system accreditation and authorization documentation
- Stay current with cybersecurity standards and frameworks
- Support zero trust architecture initiatives

Clearance Requirement
