The Senior Consultant - Team Coach plays a central role in advancing agile practices across digital and technology teams. This position is responsible for coaching product teams to enhance delivery consistency, strengthen collaboration, and align their work with strategic product and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted coaching to agile teams, with a focus on improving team dynamics, delivery rhythm, and accountability.
- Provide individualized guidance to Product Owners and team members to deepen their understanding of agile principles and effective role execution.
- Lead and facilitate core agile ceremonies—including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives—to promote alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Support teams in identifying and resolving dependencies across functions, escalating impediments when necessary to maintain progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure coordination and strategic coherence across the product development lifecycle.
- Help teams define and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring clear linkage to enterprise and value stream priorities.
- Use performance data and flow metrics to guide improvement efforts while avoiding counterproductive measurement behaviors.
- Develop customized coaching plans that address team-specific challenges and maturity levels.
- Contribute to the evolution of agile standards by participating in the Center of Excellence and sharing best practices.
- Partner with Product Owners to refine backlogs and ensure they reflect strategic direction and customer value.
- Ensure teams understand how their work contributes to larger organizational goals and product outcomes.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role supporting multiple agile teams in large-scale environments.
- Deep familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and other agile frameworks, along with proven ability to instill disciplined delivery practices.
- Experience coaching teams on agile tooling such as Jira and SPM, including best practices for adoption and reporting.
- Proven track record in OKR development, outcome tracking, and performance measurement.
- Solid understanding of software development processes and technology delivery workflows.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to foster transparency and alignment across teams and stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with product platform structures.
- Exposure to engineering practices including test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.
