About the Role

The Senior Commercial Manager plays a central role in shaping and delivering commercial proposals for a portfolio of digital grid software solutions across the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey. This position is responsible for translating complex technical and customer requirements into compelling, compliant, and commercially sound offers that align with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end development of proposals for advanced grid software systems, including ADMS, EMS, GIS, WAMS, MMS, and data-driven solutions, ensuring alignment with customer tenders and internal policies.
  • Ensure full compliance with commercial operations standards, including governance frameworks and approval workflows, to minimize business risk and support timely submissions.
  • Design pricing strategies that reflect market value, competitive positioning, and customer-specific benefits to maximize profitability and win rates.
  • Oversee contractual negotiations with clients and partners, resolving commercial and legal terms with precision and integrity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of contract approvals and deviations using designated enterprise tools.
  • Champion continuous improvement in commercial processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure all proposals integrate technical scope, commercial terms, and risk assessments to present a unified and competitive offering.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business or a technical field such as Electrical or Electronics Engineering, along with at least 10 years of experience managing large-scale bids within the electrical utility sector. Fluency in English, French, and Arabic is required. Proven expertise in contract negotiation, commercial risk assessment, and value-based pricing is essential. Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently under tight deadlines are critical.

Preferred candidates will demonstrate familiarity with SCADA, EMS, and DMS platforms, software licensing models, and the broader power transmission and distribution landscape. Experience with LEAN practices, complex systems proposals, and remote collaboration is highly valued. The role demands a disciplined, results-oriented professional committed to ethical business practices and operational excellence.
