Responsibilities
- Handle and resolve intricate, high-stakes transportation claims across the U.S.
- Approve claims payments in line with assigned authority levels and company guidelines.
- Assess policy coverage, investigate claims, and negotiate fair settlements.
- Interpret legal jurisdiction rules, policy terms, exclusions, and contractual agreements to make informed decisions.
- Set accurate reserves promptly and process payments, escalating claims exceeding authority limits.
- Negotiate settlements directly with claimants, insured parties, or legal representatives.
- Oversee litigation by engaging legal counsel and experts, setting clear expectations.
- Report emerging claim patterns and contractual concerns to leadership.
- Detect potential fraud and pursue subrogation possibilities.
- Represent the company in depositions, trials, and mediation proceedings.
- Work closely with defense attorneys to develop defense strategies and action plans.
- Support team growth through training, mentoring, or development initiatives.
- Actively contribute to achieving team and organizational goals.
