Project Expedition is hiring a Senior Business Development Manager

About the Role

This role leads the development and execution of strategies to expand market reach and secure high-value partnerships. The individual will identify growth opportunities, negotiate agreements, and collaborate across teams to scale business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities in target markets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners and industry stakeholders
  • Design and implement market entry strategies for new regions or verticals
  • Negotiate and close partnership agreements with measurable outcomes
  • Collaborate with marketing to align campaigns with business development goals
  • Analyze market trends to forecast demand and prioritize initiatives
  • Present business cases to senior leadership for approval and resourcing
  • Track and report on key performance metrics for development activities
  • Support product teams with customer insights from market interactions
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure partner integration success
  • Manage a pipeline of prospects from initial contact to contract execution
  • Represent the organization at industry events and networking forums
  • Evaluate potential partners based on strategic fit and scalability
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive landscape and pricing models
  • Contribute to long-term growth planning and annual strategy cycles
  • Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements in deals
  • Optimize sales processes to improve conversion and efficiency
  • Mentor junior team members in best practices for partnership development
  • Coordinate with finance on revenue recognition and forecasting accuracy
  • Use CRM tools to document activities and forecast future performance
  • Respond to RFPs and partner onboarding questionnaires
  • Advocate for customer needs within internal product and service planning
  • Maintain confidentiality in sensitive negotiations and data handling
  • Adapt strategies based on performance data and market feedback
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, or investment opportunities as needed
