Responsibilities
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL database structures, indexes, and queries for high-volume write-intensive scheduling and forecasting systems, including end-to-end performance analysis and tuning at scale.
- Develop, manage, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS using services such as Lambda, RDS, App Runner, and Bedrock, automated via Terraform with focus on cost efficiency, reliability, and security.
- Integrate AI agents like Claude, Bedrock, and MCP-based tools into daily development workflows for coding, testing, and deployment—this is a required part of the engineering process.
- Create, maintain, and scale backend services using Python and FastAPI frameworks.
- Define and manage RESTful API contracts using OpenAPI specifications, ensuring consistent integration across web and mobile clients.
- Enhance AI-powered features by leveraging AWS Bedrock, Claude, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
- Work closely with data science and machine learning teams to support and extend forecasting pipelines using Prophet, Pandas, and NumPy.
- Develop and sustain comprehensive pytest test suites and enforce robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Contribute to architectural decision records, conduct code reviews, and provide technical mentorship to fellow engineers.
- Collaborate across product, mobile, and data teams to deliver full-stack features, often starting from minimal initial specifications.
