Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and sustain resilient, high-performance backend systems using AWS technologies including DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, AppSync, Cognito, and SQS, along with SST versions 2 and 3, following Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Build and maintain GraphQL APIs and core application logic using TypeScript.
- Lead architectural planning, data modeling, and system design to ensure scalability, performance, and long-term code health, from concept through deployment and iteration.
- Design and implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
- Ensure system reliability through CI/CD pipelines, comprehensive monitoring, and efficient incident response protocols.
- Work closely with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver backend solutions that support intuitive user experiences.
- Apply strong product intuition and user focus, emphasizing purpose and impact behind technical decisions.
- Communicate proactively, surface risks early, and collaborate to resolve challenges with team members.
- Balance rapid delivery with system robustness by making practical engineering trade-offs that maintain quality.
- Support team growth by mentoring peers, sharing expertise, and contributing to higher technical standards.

- Occasional U.S. travel is required for in-person collaboration, team offsites, and company events.
- Must have 5+ hours of overlap with US Pacific Time (9am–6pm PT)
- Must be fluent in English and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
