As a Senior Backend Engineer focused on analytics instrumentation, you will lead the development and maintenance of backend systems that power data collection and event tracking. Your work will ensure high-quality, consistent data flows across services, enabling accurate analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale backend services in Golang to support event ingestion and processing
- Develop and maintain instrumentation frameworks used across engineering teams
- Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to define event schemas and tracking standards
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize data pipeline reliability
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with internal governance policies
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience, with strong proficiency in Golang
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and event-driven systems
- Familiarity with distributed systems, message queues, and stream processing technologies
- Understanding of data modeling, schema design, and analytics workflows
- Proven ability to work across teams to establish tracking standards and debug data quality issues
