Invisible Technologies is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with AI experience to design, build, and optimize the backend systems powering our AI-driven tools and applications. You will work closely with technical leads and product managers to deliver high-impact internal and customer-facing solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services for AI-powered applications.
- Implement APIs, workflow systems, and event-driven architectures, including GraphQL subscriptions.
- Integrate generative AI frameworks to deliver intelligent product features.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and AI teams to ship high-quality solutions.
- Apply best practices in code quality, testing, observability, and security.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering processes, tooling, and architecture.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years professional experience with Python development.
- Recent experience building applications or tools using generative AI frameworks (OpenAI or others), either professionally or through advanced side projects.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Proficiency with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of API design, workflow systems, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres preferred).
- Familiarity with modular software architecture and scalable system design principles.
- Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Django, Doppler, Backstage, and observability tools (Datadog, Sentry) is a strong plus.

Benefits & Compensation
- Base Salary: Tier 1: $82,000 - $97,000 USD. For candidates outside the U.S., compensation will be adjusted to reflect local market conditions and cost-of-living differentials.
- Equity is included in offers above entry level.
