Responsibilities
- Being an integral part of the Asgard engineering team and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Developing and implementing new features.
- Taking ownership of services infrastructure, ensuring its reliability and scalability.
- Owning the full development cycle of features with no hand-offs: from initial definition and CI/CD setup to production monitoring and support.
- Actively participating in architectural discussions to help identify and implement more efficient service designs.
- Taking responsibility for observability and monitoring to maintain transparency and system health.
- Supporting QA processes to ensure high quality and stable releases.
- Working with data analytics to better understand system performance and product impact.
- Actively participating in the team’s ceremonies and rituals.
Requirements
- Proficient in Kotlin or long production experience in Java with a strong affinity for Kotlin.
- Experienced in building scalable microservices using the Spring Boot ecosystem.
- Experienced in DevOps practices, including observability, deployment pipelines and managing infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Experienced working with cloud-based services and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong grasp of engineering best practices and system design principles, with experience in designing and implementing robust, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient systems.
- Interested in using AI-assisted workflows and helping us refine our internal AI context and development setup.
- Understanding the importance of continuously delivering value and being able to work in small increments.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in an English-speaking environment.
Nice to Have
- A foundational understanding of Python, enabling effective collaboration with our data analyst.
- Basic data engineering knowledge to work with data lakes or warehouses, for example with set up of data pipelines or DAGs in Airflow.
- Practical experience in optimizing AI-assisted workflows and setting up AI context or development infrastructure.
