Responsibilities
- Design and build highly scalable, modular backend systems that support complex gameplay features with reliability and efficiency.
- Convert project requirements into detailed technical architectures, selecting optimal technologies, frameworks, and cloud strategies.
- Assess and integrate tools, libraries, and platforms aligned with project objectives and long-term maintainability.
- Ensure software and server infrastructure meet high standards for performance, scalability, security, and ease of maintenance.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to collect functional needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Promote and adhere to coding best practices and standards to maintain clean, efficient, and sustainable code.
- Refine and improve software iteratively based on testing outcomes, user feedback, and system performance data.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code on platforms such as AWS or GCP to support dynamic backend services.
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, frequent, and safe deployments of game servers and APIs with no service interruption.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate technical and infrastructure problems by identifying root causes and applying durable fixes.
- Perform comprehensive testing to validate that systems fulfill both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks, enhance system efficiency, and set up real-time monitoring and alerting with tools like Datadog or Prometheus.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers across disciplines to define needs and deliver robust software solutions.
- Maintain clear documentation of system designs, code implementations, infrastructure layouts, and technical workflows for future reference and scalability.
- Engage in code review processes, offering constructive input to elevate code quality and consistency.
- Develop and manage server-side components such as APIs, databases, authentication mechanisms, and data processing workflows.
