About the Role
The Senior Backend Developer will lead the development and maintenance of scalable server-side applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions that support the platform’s evolving needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust backend services and APIs
- Optimize system performance and ensure scalability
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
- Maintain and improve existing codebases
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and technical planning sessions
- Ensure data security and compliance with best practices
- Work with databases to store and retrieve information efficiently
- Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
- Monitor system health and respond to alerts
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technology choices
- Integrate third-party services and tools
- Improve application reliability through automated testing
- Collaborate with product managers to define feature requirements
- Help define and enforce coding standards
- Mentor junior developers when needed
- Stay current with evolving backend technologies
- Support incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Ensure logging and observability across services
