About the Role
The role involves designing and implementing server-side logic using Python and the Wagtail framework, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications, and working closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable back-end services in Python
- Build content management features using Wagtail
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs and components
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues
- Participate in code reviews and technical planning
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and efficiency
- Ensure data security and protection across systems
- Support deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines
- Work with RESTful APIs and database integrations
- Implement proper authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Monitor system performance and resolve bottlenecks
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Follow software development best practices
- Adapt to changing project requirements efficiently
Nice to Have
- Experience with headless CMS implementations
- Familiarity with GraphQL
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
