Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of essential Azure services around the clock.
- Serve as the primary escalation contact for intricate system incidents, conducting in-depth root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of cloud architecture, configurations, and operational workflows.
- Strengthen Azure assets by applying strict security baselines and organizational policies.
- Enforce governance through tools such as Azure Policies, Blueprints, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Maintain alignment with global security standards and compliance requirements across cloud deployments.
- Oversee worldwide rollouts of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 at scale.
- Drive automation initiatives to replace manual processes with infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Build, provision, and manage Azure resources using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Promote consistency across environments through version control and repeatable deployment patterns.
- Create and manage monitoring frameworks using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Design and implement early-warning alerting systems to identify potential issues before service disruption.
- Support efforts to reduce cloud spending and improve cost efficiency.
- Establish budget thresholds, detect unused resources, and recommend sizing optimizations.
- Follow ITIL best practices for Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Ensure all production changes are properly documented, tested, and implemented with minimal risk.
