SumUp is hiring a Senior Android Engineer - KMP

Responsibilities

  • Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin and KMP.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices into our development process.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Android Developer, with a strong portfolio of shipped apps.
  • Expertise in Kotlin and Android SDK.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and mobile UI/UX best practices.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose.
  • Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
  • Open-source contributions.
