Responsibilities
- Create, build, and improve scalable dimensional data models and data marts utilizing dbt
- Develop and expand the semantic layer and metrics standards to ensure consistent definition and use of key business KPIs across dashboards, models, AI agents, and downstream products
- Contribute to the data infrastructure supporting AI by providing high-quality models, metadata, and governance for trustworthy and production-ready Snowflake Intelligence and other AI applications
- Support data centralization efforts by working with BI, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Product teams to unify sources of truth and reduce fragmented business logic
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Data Science team to convert features into production-ready data variables for training and validating predictive models
- Work closely with the Data Engineering team to ensure robust and reliable deployment and orchestration of data variables for production machine learning models
- Partner with Core Technology teams on internal application schema changes and data migrations, validating data accuracy and minimizing impact on downstream analytical models
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to monitor, maintain, and enhance high-performance streaming pipelines designed for real-time analytics use cases
- Improve team code quality by reviewing Analytics team pull requests, mentoring junior members, and enforcing internal standards for style, maintainability, performance, and best practices
- Assess, incorporate, and manage high-value third-party data sources to enrich and expand the data ecosystem strategically
- Advocate for data governance and quality across the platform through automated dbt tests, comprehensive data cataloging, lineage tracking, and compliance with security and regulatory standards
