Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team to construct machine learning and generative AI platforms for internal use across the organization
- Develop backend infrastructure to support scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions
- Create services that provide access to machine learning and AI-based products
- Deploy and oversee applications in a production environment
- Engage in daily coding activities
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of experience delivering production-ready products
- Proficiency in writing high-quality Python code
- Familiarity with modern asynchronous Python web frameworks like FastAPI and handling data streaming via WebSockets or Server-Sent Events
- Experience using Docker and deploying applications on Kubernetes
- Knowledge of relational and low-latency databases
- Background in building RAG-based AI solutions
- Experience in setting up and maintaining vector databases
- Awareness of LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and integration with foundation model APIs like OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock
- Willingness to rapidly learn new technologies
- Enthusiasm for creating systems from the ground up
- Thoughtful approach to balancing quality and deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills with an ability to foster consensus and alignment
- Excellent organizational capabilities and skill in simplifying complex problems into actionable priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience with Graph Databases such as Neo4j or AWS Neptune and their integration into AI/knowledge systems like GraphRAG
- Familiarity with LLM observability and monitoring tools like Langfuse to track latency, token usage, and output quality
- Experience working with Celery
- Knowledge of defining and utilizing Protobuf messages
- Proficiency in writing production code using Java or Kotlin
- Background in building solutions on cloud infrastructure, especially AWS
- Experience handling highly sensitive data in healthcare settings
