Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and standardize components for AI-powered systems that align with clinical workflows and improve patient outcomes and healthcare operations.
- Work with a cross-functional group including clinicians, designers, product leads, and IT staff to gather requirements, assess feasibility, and convert user needs into functional AI solution designs.
- Apply machine learning methods such as deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and large language models to build end-to-end AI applications for medical use cases.
- Develop evaluation frameworks and performance indicators to measure the real-world effectiveness, usability, and impact of AI tools in clinical environments.
- Interpret and communicate data findings to support decision-making and make complex technical insights understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage the engineering of systems essential for building and deploying AI technologies.
- Ensure reliable and automated development and release cycles by creating, testing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.
- Support the adoption of industry best practices and standards in AI development, deployment, and platform selection.
- Mentor and lead junior engineers within the AI team, providing technical guidance and leadership.
- Offer expert consultation to clinical departments or product teams on solving complex challenges using AI strategies.
- Deliver training programs to medical personnel on the use and benefits of AI tools and systems.
- Help advance the field by contributing to the creation of novel AI methodologies and technologies applicable to healthcare.
