Responsibilities
- Manage the complete cycle of annual financial statement preparation and filing, ensuring adherence to Indian corporate law, tax regulations, and applicable accounting standards.
- Assist APAC and EMEA entities in finalizing and submitting their annual financial reports.
- Record journal entries and maintain accurate account reconciliations in line with local GAAP and corporate policies to meet monthly and annual close deadlines.
- Generate and manage internal management reports and schedules, and respond to requests from internal and external auditors.
- Lead and coordinate the annual statutory audit process, serving as the main point of contact for external auditors to ensure timely and efficient audit completion.
- Exercise professional judgment to verify the accuracy and integrity of accounting entries, accruals, and reconciliations, identifying and resolving potential risks or discrepancies.
- Evaluate the appropriateness of accounting methods and principles used under local reporting standards and support audit requirements by providing timely documentation and clarifications.
- Investigate and document positions on complex accounting matters and clearly communicate findings to internal teams and external parties.
- Collaborate with internal departments, auditors, and external consultants to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Indian direct and indirect tax obligations and company secretarial requirements, coordinating with advisors to respond to tax notices promptly.
- Monitor updates to accounting standards and regulations to maintain ongoing compliance and implement changes as needed.
- Handle tax dispute matters by coordinating with tax consultants and authorities to submit timely and accurate responses.
- Submit all required statutory and local regulatory filings as mandated by jurisdictional requirements.
