Directive is hiring a Senior Account Strategist, Paid Media (Remote Canada)

About the Role

This position involves leading paid media strategy for clients, managing campaign performance, and driving results through data analysis and platform expertise. The ideal candidate has experience in digital advertising and client management within a performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of paid media strategies for client accounts
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance across digital platforms
  • Optimize advertising spend to maximize return on investment
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align strategy with client goals
  • Manage multiple client accounts with varying industry needs
  • Conduct keyword research and audience targeting for search and social campaigns
  • Adjust bidding strategies based on performance data
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations and performance reviews
  • Stay current with digital advertising trends and platform updates
  • Ensure compliance with advertising policies and platform guidelines
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing client portfolios
  • Coordinate with creative teams to develop effective ad assets
  • Use analytics tools to extract insights and inform decisions
  • Maintain accurate records of campaign settings and changes
  • Support onboarding of new client accounts
  • Troubleshoot campaign issues and implement timely solutions
  • Communicate proactively with clients on progress and strategy
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for campaign launches
  • Provide input on process improvements within the account management workflow
  • Train junior team members on best practices and tools

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Google Ads or other advertising platforms
  • Experience in SaaS or technology-focused industries
  • Knowledge of UTM tracking and campaign tagging
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation tools
  • Experience with programmatic advertising platforms

  • Understanding of SEO principles and how they intersect with paid media
  • Exposure to international markets and multilingual campaigns
  • Project management experience in agency settings
  • Advanced data visualization skills
