Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud platforms continuously for signs of security threats.
- Examine security alerts and system logs to detect unusual or malicious behavior.
- Lead incident response activities, including containment, elimination, and system recovery.
- Investigate confirmed security breaches to determine underlying causes.
- Perform post-incident reviews to recommend process and technical improvements.
- Record and document all aspects of security incidents with thorough detail.
- Respond promptly to security issues reported by customers or detected through proactive monitoring.
- Adhere to defined security policies, protocols, and compliance standards.
- Oversee and manage security infrastructure such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and SIEM platforms.
- Deploy defensive security controls to reduce the likelihood of future breaches.
- Keep current with evolving security threats, tools, and industry best practices.
