Responsibilities
- Monitor and regulate entry to the facility.
- Oversee daily trailer arrivals and departures with accurate logging of movements, temperatures, and seal identifiers.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and other departments to support smooth daily operations.
- Engage with delivery drivers in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
- Guide carriers to designated dock doors or parking areas.
- Perform routine patrols inside and outside the building, including all parking zones.
- Conduct hourly inspections of the trailer yard and document temperature readings.
- Distribute bill of lading documents to carriers as required.
- Identify and report suspicious activity, operational issues, or safety risks.
- Notify management promptly of any incidents or concerns.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Work primarily outdoors, exposed to varying weather conditions and temperatures.
- Adapt to changing environmental conditions while maintaining performance.
Requirements
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Capable of walking over one mile across diverse terrain, including stairs, in all weather conditions.
- Able to complete duties independently without constant supervision.
- Effective communication skills under pressure or stressful situations.
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and observation.
- Maintains a professional demeanor at all times.
- Available to work any shift as scheduled.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in computer applications is advantageous.
- Prior experience in security or related field is beneficial.
