Responsibilities
- Assess and optimize security technologies such as Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management, Identity and Access Management, Web Application Firewall, Email Protection, and Endpoint Protection on an ongoing basis.
- Evaluate and deploy a Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform.
- Create and manage a repository of automation scripts to support threat detection, hunting, and digital forensics activities.
- Build, deploy, and enhance security detection systems to increase operational effectiveness and system visibility.
- Maintain a cloud-hosted SIEM by ensuring proper log ingestion and refining alerting rules for accuracy.
- Serve as a key incident responder, applying deep knowledge of incident response procedures, potentially leading response efforts.
- Monitor evolving cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry developments to proactively strengthen defenses.
- Deliver security awareness initiatives, including running simulated phishing exercises for internal teams.
- Work cross-functionally with internal groups to promote and verify adherence to secure development and deployment practices.
- Participate in an on-call schedule to respond to high-priority security incidents at any time.
