Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to security-related inquiries from patients, families, and staff
- Assist with access control systems including badge issuance and door monitoring
- Monitor public areas to ensure compliance with facility safety policies
- Escalate incidents following established reporting procedures
- Provide clear directions and guidance to visitors within medical campuses
- Support emergency response protocols as directed
- Document security events using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with law enforcement and public safety personnel when necessary
- Maintain professional demeanor during high-stress situations
- Conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds
- Verify identification for restricted area access
- Operate communication devices to coordinate with team members
- Assist individuals with wayfinding in complex healthcare environments
- Promote a culture of safety and respect for all facility users
- Adhere to confidentiality standards for sensitive information
- Participate in regular training on security procedures and emergency preparedness
- Report facility concerns such as lighting or maintenance issues
- Support crowd management during peak visitation times
- Enforce non-disruptive behavior in clinical and public zones
- Utilize customer service skills to de-escalate tense interactions
