Northpoint Technology is looking for an SAP ABAP Technical Consultant to support and optimize our established SAP environments across ECC and S/4 HANA. This hands-on role focuses on enhancing and stabilizing core manufacturing and order management processes within live production systems.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and enhance SAP ABAP solutions supporting Production Planning and Sales and Distribution processes
- Support and improve existing custom ABAP code with a focus on performance, stability, and maintainability
- Develop and maintain RICEF objects including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, CDS views, and APIs
- Build and support OData services and backend logic for SAP Fiori and UI5 applications
- Partner with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Support integrations across SAP modules and third party systems
- Troubleshoot production issues through debugging and root cause analysis
- Apply secure coding practices and authorization checks aligned with enterprise standards
- Document technical designs and contribute to knowledge transfer across teams
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
- Experience supporting SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments
- Hands-on experience supporting PP and SD related developments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and order-to-cash processes
- Experience with OO ABAP, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and performance tuning
- Ability to work independently in complex multi-system environments
- Strong communication skills and experience working with distributed teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, or modern ABAP development patterns
- Exposure to SAP Fiori, UI5, and API based architectures
- Experience supporting ERP optimization or stabilization initiatives
- Manufacturing, automotive, or industrial industry experience
- Exposure to SAP BTP or hybrid cloud environments
