Pilgrim's (JBS USA) is hiring a Sanitation Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all cleaning operations to meet company, USDA, and regulatory sanitation standards for facilities, equipment, and tools.
  • Supervise, train, and assign tasks to sanitation staff, ensuring proper cleaning techniques and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections to confirm sanitation effectiveness and maintain records for food safety audits.
  • Track chemical use, cleaning processes, and equipment function, ensuring correct dilution, handling, and upkeep.
  • Address sanitation issues quickly during or after shifts, resolving problems to maintain production readiness.
  • Keep detailed sanitation documentation, including checklists, logs, corrective actions, and audit records.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe chemical practices.
  • Assume additional duties as assigned to support operational goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Fundamental computer literacy
  • Excellent organizational capabilities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Skill in managing multiple tasks and priorities

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least one year of prior supervisory experience
  • Experience leading teams of 20 or more employees
  • Background in poultry, food processing, or manufacturing industries
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish

Sanitation team under Operations Team, consisting of 20+ employees

Schedule

Work hours follow a Monday to Friday schedule with occasional weekend shifts as needed.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Post-offer, pre-hire drug, alcohol, and background screenings are required for all new hires.

Employment Eligibility

All new employees must provide documentation verifying work authorization by the end of the third workday.
